Dear MBU ’22 Undergrads,
Your big day is almost here! Please check your May 5th email for important information from commencement@marybaldwin.edu and visit our MBU Commencement page as it continues to be updated with helpful information including a Special Events Schedule and COVID Precautions.
Here are some highlights. Please share with family and friends.
- Sunday is the last day for students to request special accommodations for guests unable to sit on the hill. (A link is included in the email.)
- A Commencement Information Session will be held in Francis Auditorium on Tuesday, May 10th at 5pm. (See email for link.) A recording will be available in next week’s announcements.
- The event will be streamed and recorded. (See website for details.)
- Arrive at Hunt Dining Hall by 8am for check-in on commencement morning.
- A shuttle will be available.
- The only restricted parking is in the MBU lots along Frederick St., which will be reserved for those with a DMV-issued handicap permit, placard, or license plate.
- Guests with difficulty walking should be dropped off near Pearce Science Center parking lot and take the elevator up towards Page Terrace level. Ushers will be nearby to direct.
- The Campus Store will be open for about two hours following the ceremony.
- Enjoy the Post-Commencement Reception on the lawn of the Administration Building.
- Diplomas will be mailed to you. (Email the registrar to update your address.)
- GradImages will be taking photos of you as you walk across the stage. They will email you proofs a few weeks after the ceremony via your MBU email.
