    Woodrow Wilson Presidential Library is looking for 2-3 undergraduate students to assist with the research of the historical perspective of how civic engagement made a difference within the community through the lens of Urban Renewal in Staunton in the late 1960s. The research assistants duties will include: working with microfilm, transcribing court cases on the local and state level, transcribing newspapers from the time period and researching the Library of Congress for map of Staunton during from 1949 to the late 1960s.

    <span style=”text-decoration: underline;”>Minimum requirements include:</span>

    • Proficient knowledge of the English language, grammar and punctuation.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, computers and internet research
    • Interest in community engagement
    • Ability to meet deadlines

    <span style=”text-decoration: underline;”>Preferred qualifications include:</span>

    • Interest in history
    • Knowledge of urban renewal
