Would you love to be a part of an environmentally conscious project to plant trees in Staunton? Then come volunteer for the Legacy Tree Project!

The Legacy Tree Project, hosted by Shenandoah Green, was created to plant trees in Staunton for every Staunton City School child to increase tree canopy coverage in Staunton and reduce our carbon footprint and emissions. The Spencer Center for Civic and Global Engagement is helping coordinate volunteers to help plant these trees on the weekend of October 16th & 17th, and October 23rd & 24th. In addition to Oct. 31, and more dates in November!

We are signing up volunteers for all of the above dates. Shovels and tools provided. All we need is your presence! Groups are welcome to participate together.

All volunteers should fill out this sign up form

Or contact India McCoy at McCoyIR1353@marybaldwin.edu or the Spencer Center during operational hours (540)-887-7181 before October 8th.

There is no tree planting on the 17th, but there is still tree planting for the 16th! If you want to sign up for the 16th Please email McCoyIR1353@marybaldwin.edu or fill out this form https://forms.gle/Se91RzxJCvYgy7k5A by Thursday (10/14) afternoon .
