Join our community for an opportunity to raise breast cancer awareness, learn more about holistic self-care techniques as well as enjoy local music, and share stories together!

This October, we have more to celebrate than unseasonably warm weather days and the beauty of fall foliage. October is also National Breast Cancer Awareness Month (NBCAM). Have you, your family, and/or close relatives and colleagues been impacted by breast cancer? If the answer is yes, this is a cause that is worthy of your attention this month.

“Apples to Apples: Wise Women Empower Women!” event is on October 2nd, from 11am-3pm, at Cider from Mars and Sunspots Stage in downtown Staunton. This celebration is a special occasion for community members to join in solidarity to raise support for breast cancer awareness.

Community members are encouraged to come together to celebrate sisterhood, empower one another, and engage in awareness about breast cancer. During NBCAM, the Augusta Health Bridge Fund is committed to increasing awareness of breast cancer issues including early detection, regular breast self-exams, scheduling annual mammograms, adhering to prescribed treatment, and knowing the facts about reoccurrence. At Apples to Apples, there will be a powerful opportunity to exchange important awareness information as well as to enjoy local music, learn more about self-care techniques, and share stories together. Ultimately, this gathering is a time for women to unite and to uplift one another!

You are cordially invited to contribute as a sponsor to “Apples to Apples: Wise Women Uplifting Women!”  This could be an excellent occasion to gain valuable exposure within the community while supporting the worthy cause of breast cancer awareness.
