Activism and Community Arts are efficient tools needed for the urgent reconstruction during this time of profound changes. In this course, students will learn why? and how? to collaborate and work on community-based art projects. Students will learn aspects of the history of art and activism by investigating effective strategies that were used to design, develop and complete community-based projects created under challenging circumstances. Students will learn about community-based projects occurring locally, nationally and internationally. Students will learn that art can, indeed, change history.
